Oil crawled towards $103 a barrel in Asia session today with the investors buying
commodities after yesterday's steep losses. New York Mercantile Exchange benchmark crude
oil for May delivery is up 3 cents to $102.70 a barrel in electronic trading during the Asian
session. Also Wednesday, oil demand fears were fueled by a U.S. government inventories
report that showed a higher-than-expected rise in crude supplies. U.S. crude oil inventories
rose by 3.9 million barrels in the week that ended Friday, the U.S. Energy Information
Administration said. The agency said crude oil inventories rose to 369 million barrels in the
latest report. Supplies are in the upper limit for the average range for this time of year, the
agency said
